Strofoam - for background
Small amounts of colorful paper
Green felt for grass
Flower and butterfly punches
Pick a color paint and paint the entire sheet of Styrofoam.
Now it's time to plant some grass. I cut a strip of felt with fancy scissors and then cut random slits almost to the bottom. I clipped a few shorter so they wouldn't be straight across. Glue the grass to the bottom of your Styrofoam. Using a few scraps of pretty paper and a flower punch, punch a few flower shapes. I also had a butterfly punch that I used with pretty scraps of paper.
Now let's plant those flowers! Apply lots of glue to one side of a pipe cleaner and tuck it into the grass. Top with a flower shape. I like to layer the flowers. A large shape then a smaller one inside. Scatter some butterflies in the air. Embellish with beads or glitter if you like.
Create a beach scene. Use a tan or brown felt for sand and use those sea shells that we all pick up. Draw a few birds in the air and a sail boat.
